History
Counselling:
Bruce Reimer is a Registered Clinical Counsellor through the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. He graduated with his Masters degree in 1992, MBBS, California. Through his graduate studies and continuing professional training, Bruce focuses his therapeutic practice from the Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioural, and Narrative Therapy perspectives in his Counselling work. He enjoys the process of collaborating with individuals to genuinely hear their stories and discover each person's own unique understanding of who they are. Bruce believes the process of change and renewal comes from within one's own self, and so the counselling experience helps to nurture and reveal these inner strengths and apply them to your life events.
Behaviour Consulting:
Bruce is listed on the AFU BC Gov. RASP list of service providers for Behaviour Consulting services with children 0-6 and 6-18 years of age. His Masters degree and 28 years of experienced knowledge in the behavioural sciences provides Bruce with the expertise in designing Behaviour Programs for children with an Autism diagnosis. Through the last two and a half decades, Bruce has carried out intensive behavioural program designs and support for families and community professionals.
In his 25 years of providing therapeutic support to children and families, Bruce has found that each individual has a unique set of skills and challenges. The art of the professional counselling and behavioural consulting work is to find these strengths, that each individual possesses, and help the individual to use these skills and abilities to make their way towards a fulfilling and joyful life.
